Thanksgiving often brings to mind the people gathered around our table. We give thanks for family, friendship, food, and the many ways God has cared for us.
But what about the child who needs to hear that they matter to God?

At Child Evangelism Fellowship of Canada, we are thankful for every person who makes room for children: the volunteer who prepares a Bible lesson, the church that opens its doors, the family that welcomes a club, and the friend who faithfully prays. Each act of service can help a child hear about the love of Jesus.

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” — Psalm 107:1 (NIV)

God’s goodness gives us reason to be thankful, even when life is difficult. And gratitude can move us beyond reflection to action. We can thank God for the children in our lives, listen to them, encourage them, and help them know that Jesus welcomes them.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them.” — Matthew 19:14 (NIV)

This Thanksgiving, as we count our blessings, let’s remember the next generation. We thank God for the children He has placed in our communities and for everyone helping them hear the Good News.
