Thanking God for a Great Year: A CEF Canada Reflection

As we approach the end of another year, we at CEF Canada want to take a moment to reflect on the blessings and achievements we’ve experienced throughout the past twelve months. With hearts full of gratitude, we thank God for His faithfulness in guiding our organization, empowering us to reach children across the nation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

This year has been encouraging under the direction and leadership of our National Director Gwen Foord along with Tatiana keeping the office together. With the unwavering support of our dedicated missionaries, generous donors, and faithful prayer partners, we have seen God’s hand at work in countless ways. From organizing successful volunteer training events in various parts of the world to launching effective outreach programs, each step we’ve taken has been a testament to His leading and provision.

Celebrating Our Achievements

Throughout the year, we have witnessed children discovering the love of Christ, often for the very first time, in various parts of the world. Our Good News Clubs have flourished, creating safe spaces for kids to learn about God’s Word and grow in their faith. From training and watching the enthusiasm of our volunteers has been inspiring, demonstrating the vital role that passionate believers play in the lives of children.

Bev, Jerry and Brenda and others have expanded their reach in providing training for CEF missionaries and volunteers to equip them with the tools they need to effectively reach children and share the Gospel. This year, staff have also focused on enhancing our curriculum, ensuring that children engage with relevant, age-appropriate materials that ignite their curiosity and deepen their understanding. Even now, they are preparing for the summer programs. It’s all very exciting!

The lives transformed through our CEF programs with our missionaries like Vance and Wendy or Peter or Deb, Rebecca, and our other Canadian missionaries in various parts of the world reflect God’s purpose and the importance of our mission “Every Child Every Nation Every Day”. We are reminded of the words found in Matthew 19:14 (NIV): “Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’” Our commitment to reaching children and sharing God’s love with them has been at the heart of everything we do.

Looking Forward with Hope

As we celebrate the blessings of this past year, we also look forward to the new year with great anticipation. With every ending comes a new beginning, and we are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. We believe that God is calling us to deepen our impact, expand our reach, and explore new avenues for sharing His love.

In the coming year, we look forward to enhancing our outreach efforts, forging new partnerships, and strengthening our resources. We believe that together, we can make an even greater difference in the lives of children across Canada and around the world. Let us move forward with courage and faith, trusting that God has great plans for us in the coming year. May we be empowered to build upon the foundation laid this year, reaching even more children with His love and grace.
